ANIBAL
PASTOR & FATHER
“It’s such a good feeling for my children to follow in my footsteps of serving.”
Siloam has always been here for us, so my family is healthy, and I can fulfill my pastoral calling.
If it wasn’t for Siloam, my wife, Lucy, would not be here with us today. Shortly after coming to Nashville, a doctor at Siloam referred us to a specialist who said “if she doesn’t get surgery, she may only live for 6 months.” Thanks to God and Siloam, she had open heart surgery, and we are here today.
A few years ago, I also had two heart attacks. I was unaware of them, but one day, I was in pain and came to Siloam. The doctor did an EKG and saw two scars on my heart, and I was shocked. I did not know I’d ever had a heart attack. She said “I can’t believe you’re still here,” and helped me start treatment to make sure that I am getting better.
Lucy and I are very proud of our children. My daughter Genesis is a wonderful woman and an excellent mother. My son Mario works as a branch manager for Regions Bank, and God has slowly elevated him within the company. Recently, he received an award for employees who demonstrate community service, an award that historically goes to upper management. It’s such a good feeling for my children to follow in my footsteps of serving.
