About Flourish

In the summer of 2025, award-winning photographer William DeShazer approached Siloam Health with a desire to do something to help the immigrant community during a difficult time. What you see on these pages is the result - a powerful portrait series of Siloam’s patients that highlights what is possible when immigrants in Nashville have access to health care.

The whole-person care Siloam provides for immigrants empowers them to flourish in their work, their families, and their communities, and Nashville thrives as a result. This project showcases to the beauty and strength of our neighbors from many nations, and the breadth of what access to quality health care makes possible.
